Microsoft is testing ads in the Start Menu, despite already populating the component with recommendations promoting its own products.
The video conferencing platform is also offering hosted email and calendar service options.
The combination with Activision Blizzard — which owns some of the world’s most popular games including Call of Duty and World of Warcraft — would make Microsoft the world’s third-largest gaming company and boost the Xbox maker’s roster of titles for its Game Pass subscribers.
